Welcome to our interactive exercises on German opposites.

Whether you're just starting out with German or looking to solidify your understanding of basic vocabulary, our exercises will help you to make some progress.

These exercises here are a bit different from our other German exercises, because the hints that you can see behind the blanks are the opposites of what should go into the blank. Try it out.

Exercise 1: German Opposites

1.	Der Sommer ist sehr kalt (cold)

4.	Die Nacht ist hell (bright)
5.	Der Kaffee ist kalt (cold)
6.	Der Pullover ist hart (hard)
7.	Das Zimmer ist schmutzig (dirty)
8.	Die Suppe ist sauer (sour)
9.	Der Winter ist warm (warm)

Exercise 2: German Opposites

1.	Die Straße ist schmal (narrow)
2.	Das neue Auto ist langsam (slow)
3.	Das alte Haus ist klein (small)
4.	Der Film war interessant (interesting)
5.	Die Wände hier sind dick (thick)
6.	Die Lampe ist dunkel (dark)
7.	Das Wetter ist nass (wet)
8.	Das Essen schmeckt mild (mild)

Exercise 3: German Opposites

1.	Der Raum ist leise (quiet)
2.	Das Metall ist leicht (light)
3.	Das Wetter ist trocken (dry)
4.	Deine Jacke ist alt (old)
5.	Der Boden ist rau (rough)
6.	Das Licht ist stark (strong)
7.	Die Musik ist traditionell (traditional)
8.	Das Kissen ist weich (soft)

1.	Der Junge ist dünn (thin)
2.	Der Wind ist schwach (weak)
3.	Die Schokolade ist bitter (bitter)
4.	Das Auto ist neu (new)
5.	Der Weg ist lang (long)
6.	Das Handtuch ist nass (wet)
